Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to Docket ("the App"), a task management application built on the Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. Docket is developed and operated by Wolf Technologies ("we", "us", "our").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to that data.
By using Docket, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information
- Email address — used for account creation, authentication, and essential service communications.
- Password — stored securely via AWS Cognito using industry-standard hashing. We never have access to your plaintext password.
- Apple Sign In identifier — if you sign in with Apple, we receive an opaque user identifier and (optionally) your name and a private relay email.
2.2 Task and Productivity Data
- Tasks — titles, notes, due dates, deadlines, tags, checklists, and completion status.
- Projects — project names, descriptions, and associated tasks.
- Areas of Responsibility — area names and associated projects.
- Tags — tag names and associations with tasks and projects.
2.3 Subscription and Payment Information
- Subscription status — your current plan (free, monthly, annual, or lifetime) and trial status.
- Stripe customer ID — a unique identifier used to link your account to Stripe's payment processing service (web purchases).
- Apple transaction ID — a unique identifier used to verify purchases made via Apple In-App Purchase (iOS purchases).
We do not store your credit card number, bank details, or other sensitive payment credentials. All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe or Apple.
2.4 Technical Data
- Device and browser information — collected automatically to ensure the App displays correctly.
- Error and crash logs — anonymous technical logs to help us identify and fix bugs.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Location data, contacts, health data, browsing history, photos, camera, microphone, advertising identifiers, or biometric data.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, sale to third parties, or training of AI/ML models.
5. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the EU West (London) region (eu-west-2).
- Encryption at rest — DynamoDB AES-256.
- Encryption in transit — TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Authentication — AWS Cognito with salted password hashing.
- Each user's data is logically isolated.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS Cognito (authentication), DynamoDB (data), Lambda (logic), API Gateway (routing). AWS Privacy Policy.
6.2 Stripe
Processes web subscription payments. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status. Stripe Privacy Policy.
6.3 Apple In-App Purchase
Handles all iOS payment processing. We receive a transaction identifier only. Apple Privacy Policy.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Sharing only occurs with our service providers above, when legally required, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. All associated data (tasks, projects, areas, tags, profile, Cognito user) is permanently and immediately removed from our systems. You may also email pete@wolftechnologies.co.uk to request deletion.
Automated backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days, after which it is permanently removed.
9. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, port, and object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact pete@wolftechnologies.co.uk. We respond within 30 days.
Complaints may be lodged with the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to This Policy
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be notified by email or in-app notification.
